Audioroad to Enter Recording Studio For "Westward"
By the end of this month, Audioroad we will begin the process of recording their second album slated to be titled “Westward”. This go around the band has decided on recording all tracks in a large remodeled barn along the banks of the Pedernales River in West Austin. “We were searching for a space where we could capture a larger, more live sound”, noted Mike McDonell, lead singer. Adding, “Away from the distractions of the city, the setting provides us with a great place to relax, focus on the music and take more time in the recording process than we did with the first album.”
The music on this album was written over the course of the last year and reflects the bands desire to build a solid rock foundation while combining more influences of southern harmony, ballad, country and stadium rock. Over the course of the next eight weeks, Audioroad will play a number of venues around Austin performing the new songs with the purpose of bringing in that ‘live vibe’ into the studio.
